How do you know if a dual mass flywheel is bad on the ZF6 speed?
My dual mass flywheel's inner plate can be moved by hand, and doesn't "spring" back...is that normal?

Ok... according to the FSM, there is a spec for this... and a test!
Put two bolts on the flywheel, the same ones used to hold the pressure plate on.
By hand, using the bolts to turn the flywheel, turn it anti-clockwise until all looseness is gone. Release and make a mark on both masses (primary and secondary).
Do this again in the clockwise direction, making a mark.
Measure that distance. If it is over 35mm (1.378") it's done.
