Who loves their digi dash?

Racer
Personally, I have always thought that they were pretty cool. I hear a lot of complaints, but I have never really understood why. It is pretty creative compared to everything else.

You should be very careful driving over a 100 MPH and listening to country music. You will get big tears in your eyes and not be able to see where you are going.

Melting Slicks
I love it..as long as it keeps working alright. It was what was happening in the early 80s and the Corvette did it the best. When you think about it like many corvette ideas (hidden headlamps ,etc) many other cars copy the Corvette ideas years later. I actually find it easier to read speed, tach, oil, engine temps and it makes it much easier to get a quick read out much faster IMO. They should of never did away with it. It should be on all sports cars, but I guess its cheaper and more reliable to go with the stuff thats been around since the 1900s.

Drive in reverse, and you get everything back, just like when you play a country song backwards; Get your truck back, your dog back, get your trailer back, etc.

Unique Feature of the Early C4's
I like the digital dash because it is a unique feature of the earlier C4 models. At times with the convertible top down, it can be difficult to see in bright sunlight. I find it cool when the car is not running how the dash is completely blackened out. A reflection of mid 1980 trends.
Some complain about this design, but I have not had any major problems so far. And if I do, it seems like fixing it is no big problem. There are plenty of resources to tap into including here on the Tech/Performance section.

One thing I don't like about my 96 speedometer is when I accelerate the car fast as I tend to do on occasion it doesn't steadily climb like a needle would, the display gets confused and blinks speeds until you're driving at a more steady clip.

I liked the digital dash on my 86, in my other life I was an engineer, so I guess I am comfortable with numbers. I know some people have problems with the earl dashes, but they are fixable or can be done by someone else for $100-200. Not really a big problem.
