The forward most cylinder on the right side of the engine is the #1 cylinder. Your position is standing in front of the car facing the windshield. Just follow the plug wire from that cylinder back to the distributor cap.

Be careful
Don't go by a book for #1....
As stated follow the plug wire back and that is #1 and then mark it. There may be a diagram published but number one can be anywhere depending upon how the distributor was set in.
