Will stock C6 wheels fit on a 92 C4?
Will stock C6 wheels fit on a 92 C4? I gave my brother-in-law my C4. He can get stock C6 wheels & tires from a guy who is going with after market, and he wants to put them on the C4. Will rear C6 wheels rub?
I think he should stay with the original saw blades, but it's his car now.

The bolt pattern on all C4, C5 and C6 wheels is the same so the wheels will "fit". Offset and backspacing are another matter. What year is your car? C6 wheels are 18" F/ 19" R. C5s are 17 F/ 18 R and C4s were wither 16" all around (1984 - 1988) or 17" all around (1989 - 1996).
Personally I think C5 wheels on a C4 are fine but C6 is too much of an increase.

I put C6 wheels on my 86. I had to use adapters to adjust the offset (32mm on the 86) to the 56mm on C6. Basically, this means moving the point where the wheel attaches to the hub out by about an inch. I just posted some pictures to the C4 wheel and tire gallery if you want to have a look.
The 92 has an offset of 56mm on all four wheels. The front wheels on the C6 is also 56mm. The bold pattern is the same. Depending in the width of the rear wheel, the offset may be different.
Heres a link to a C4 suspension chart. http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...usp_chart.html

Adapters bold onto the hub and have studs that the wheels bolt to. Here's a thread from a member that described his process with lots of pictures. This was invaluable to me. If you need adapters, make sure you get hub centric and wheel centric. This ensures a tight safe fit, no vibration and keeps the weight off the lugs.

To see the pictures of my vette you can go to the link below, or up on the menu tab in the middle, click on 'Other', then click on 'Member Galeries' then go to the C4 pictures. Or you can click on link to My Corvette Pictures to the left of my reply.

With the 1.25 inch adapters, the wheels are .25 inch further out. You cannot tell the difference from stock, so no, they do not stick out in any noticable way. One inch adapters were available. I chose the 1.25 inch to ensure that the original hub bolts will be recessed inside the adapters. If the original bolts stick beyond the adapters, this could cause problems mounting the new rims to the adapters.
