I'm in the market for a new targa top for my 1986 vette and i got a price of $695.00 from Melrose T-tops for a complete top. Does anyone have any opinions on Melrose products good or bad? or should I stick with Mid America or Ecklers? Thanks

I've got a Melrose on my '85, no problems whatsoever. For personal reasons only, I wouldn't buy a valve stem cap from Mid America. I've heard some stories here about Eckler's shipping. I can't say anything about Melrose's shipping, I live close enough that I just drove the car there and they installed it at no extra charge.

I heard Melrose is the best top out there. Astro is not good.

Why Mid America or Eckler's ?? They just buy and mark up from another source.

Melrose is an Illinois business and makes their products in Illinois [ as far as I know?].

Everything I have seen and heard is positive

They will offer a military discount for Veterans, and that is a positive thing in and of itself.

Get the Melrose. Forget about Mid America or Ecklers, they sell the Thompson Astro Tops a highly inferior product.
