86 interior/sound proof & carpet
I just stripped out the interior of my 86 and bought the foil backed soundproofing and a new carpet set all from corvette central. The question I have is should I glue the sound proofing material directly to the floor panels. Do I glue the carpet to the sound proofing material or just spot glue so it stays in place. It did not come with directions and I have never done this before. Thanks

i would glue the panels to the floor and then just install the carpet like normal. by normal i mean glue to the sound proofing stuff. glue it so you will feel comfortable with it. but not to the point its coming through the carpet etc. what kind of glue are you using?

Can anyone tell me that if just placing sound deadening on the vertical floor pan behind the seats rearward to the "trunk" would make a significant noise reduction. i have severe back issues and dont want to mess with removing seats and messing with console.Thanks.
