Pre-order your renegade crossfire intake now!
The renegade intake can be pre-ordered from DCS now, they will be sent to you in July! This is exciting 33 rear wheel HP and 16 lb/ft of torque at the wheels for your 82 & 84 crossfires. It is finally going to happen!!!! $460 make payment to dynamic crossfire solutions.
I will have more torque in my crossfire than in my TPI

Only one thing, which cam to buy towork withthis intake? The builder says that the torque curve and HP curve is similar to a TPI with this intake, so should I go for the ZZ9 cam? Or is the ZZ9 cam old school and is there a better cam out there for TPI and the new crossfire setup?

2040 or 2050 usually works well. What heads are you gonna use?
Have you seen the dyno sheet yet for the intake? or just going off what was said in the forum?

It was a 350. I never Dyno'd it but I could hang with stock Lt1's
Many guys run the Hot Cam.Realy an excellent Street Cam.Yes, Great Mid-Range. Might do a search for more specific testimomies.
Hope this helps.

There is finally a true crossram for the 82 & 84 corvete, and yes all stock components bolt to this intake along with all emmisions hardware.
This is a major step forward in performance for the crossfire injected motor.
Personally I will be adding 2" throttle bodies, should add a little more air.
How much cfm is there with two 2" throttle bodies, what is the conversion?

According to DCS's recent flow tests, the stock 1.70" throttle bodies will flow 567 cfm, and the 2.00" will flow 719 cfm. As a 90% volumetric efficient 350" engine only requires 547 cfm at 6000 rpm, the stock throttle bodies will flow all the air your 350" street engine will ever need. A 383" or 406" engine however will benefit slightly from the larger 2.00" throttle bodies IF they're buzzed up to 6000 rpm. So unless your 350" engine is getting buzzed all the way up to 7000 rpm, it is totally pointless to have your throttle bodies bored any larger than stock. It's the restrictive Crossfire manifold that is holding the horsepower back above 4000 rpm. The Renegade will flow in excess of 1000 cfm, so that will forever cure your breathing problems. I have one on order and I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive. As this is already March 12th 2010, it should arrive most any time. Hopefully this month. But as DCS has had numerous casting problems in the past, I won't hold my breath.

The photos show two different castings. There are slight differences between these castings. I hope they are not attempting to pass these off as the same part.
These photos are from January, where are the photos of the most recent samples? Do they have photos of this bolted on the engine? On the test stand? I sure hope they have not ordered their first run of castings without thourougly testing it. No one wants to see them fail, but if they start shipping manifolds without "vetting" (excuse the play on words) this could be a disaster to their busisness.

From the emails and news I have read on the DCS website this intake is a go and full production is going. So I will have the best intake manifold for the crossfire and I will let you guys know what kind of dyno numbers and performance numbers I get. Data will consist of:
g tech 0-60 and 1/4 mile times
SOTP dyno numbers
before and after burnout measurements of how much rubber I will lay down.

The intake has been promoted on the basis that the prototype it made 33 rwhp over the stock intake manifold on an stock 82 vette ( fueling / spark was adjusted I believe ).Nobody outside of DCS has had one yet to test.

I have be told from DCS that the production intake is very impressive and we will be pleased with the results. If DCS is happy with it I will be happy with it. No more out of breath at 4000 rpm and now I will be faster than my 85 vette. I will let the wife drive the tpi.
