Driving Gloves....Don't Laugh.
Yes, I know, stereotypically driving gloves are worn by BMW and Posche drivers....but do any of you use them on a regular basis?
They are helpful in Autocrossing, but what about every day street driving?

no, I can't stand wearing gloves anytime, even when I'm SCUBA diving, so I only dive in warm water :D

 Use them all the time!
Two reasons, well maybe just one!
Sweaty palms are slipery and sweat ruins steering wheels, even leather ones!
I have a wood wheel and gloves are essential
I use the "golve glove" with the half fingers.

I use gloves for racing, have been for about 12 years. About a year ago I wore out yet another pair of very expensive Simpson Talon Grip gloves ($90pr), so I went looking for something else. I now use batters gloves, they fit great, and are very reasonably priced. They also don't get all dry and stiff after a weekend of racing like the Simpson's did. My next pair will probably be a pair of hand ball gloves, they are very soft, maybe too soft, and are about twice the cost of the batters gloves.
Oh yeah, I don't use them for street driving. I am just so use to using them for racing that I feel funny when I make a run with out them.

I need to get some, cuz sometimes when i'm driving a little agressive, my hands get sweaty. I especially wish I had them for racing and go carting.

Actually I am using a set of Uncle Mike's shooting gloves. I found them more comfortable than regular driving gloves.

A golf glove on my left hand is the only glove I wear. After buying my new car, I have thought about a pair of leather driving gloves. I'm too **** and don't want the sweat from my hands making the wheel look funky.

Re: Driving Gloves....Don't Laugh. (rubyred93)
I keep a pair of gloves in the car, although I only use them occasionally. I always liked the feel of my motocross gloves-- they were lightweight and breathable, and I could still feel with my fingertips. But the thick fluorescent blue padding on the top made me too embarrassed to wear them in the car! Then I found a pair of plain black full-finger bicycle gloves without the vinyl padding but with the same leather palms and Kevlar tops as my old motocross gloves. So that's what I use. Like anybody cares.

I do on long road trips (over 4 hours). It really helps cut down on hand muscle fatigue as I have a touch of arthritis. Acutally I've been using the same red leather driving gloves I purchased when I got my first new car - an '86 Laser XT Turbo limited edition in Flash Red. :D Damn, I miss that car! ~Juliet
