Pretty sure that if you had a sticker on the hood of your '96, then a previous owner probably put it there.
They didn't have those stickers on the '96. All that was used was the Mobil 1 oil cap.

When I bought my 88 3 years ago it had a Mobil 1 sticker under the hood. 
So I have used it since. The stickers must be available somewhere.

wow, 4+ year old thread! FWIW, the label is still available from GM (p/n 10236268) @$33.32 list.

I need to clean the underside of the hood, and please excuse the cardboard over the radiator mount. The PO cut a hole in it to flip the filter to draw from next to the radiator, and I have not found a replacement yet. (not trying too hard though)
