Default Front marker lights not working

My buddy has an 1988 Vette. He replaced the front side marker/turn signal bulbs but they still do not work. All other lights are fine. Can you guys give me an idea where to diagnose this? Is there a seperate fuse?

Thanks all!!

The correct term for the lights on the side, front of the vehicle is, "marker light". These lamps are connected between the two filaments in the front park/turn signal lamps. They stay on continous only if the parking lights are on and this is when the headlight switch is in parking light or headlight position. With parking/headlights on, the marker lights will be off during the time the turn signal lamp is on, that is, they flash oppositely to the turn signal lamps.
