Recieved My First Wave Yesterday!!! Its ALIVE!
Yesterday while I was cruising to work I could see a fellow corvette heading towards me..As usual I prepared to acknowledge and wave. When we met side by side all I saw were two young kids possibly younger than me staring at my car with huge smiles on thier face and then waving (he was driving a red vette with black top looked hot!)....Im actually happy to see the youth appreciating these fine cars. Lately ive been seeing various c4's in average shape with older men and they never wave or even acknowledge.....But anyways today I was at walmart and i can barely see the butt of my car in the distance..I see these two people walk near it and dissapear.. thinking maybe it was vandals i hurried..as im getting closer i see a 84 c4 in the opposite side..i felt a gush of relief it was a father and daughter just checkin out the vette. stood there 20 mins talkin obout c4's....man oh man i couldnt have it any other way...I love my C4!

I've got a few that I see regularly (3 c4, 2 c5) and they all wave. One guy didn't use to, but I always waved so he does now too. I don't know why, but it always makes my morning a little better when I see one of them on the way to work.

I always get waves from any C1, C2, C3, and C4 that sees me! I get waves 99% of the time from the C5s but only about half from the C6s.
All I know is that I never give up and wave at every Vette I see!

If I am in my SUV and I wave I get waves. If I am in my vette I rev it up and tease LOL I had boats for a while, now I have regular fishing boats, they don't all wave either anymore.
glad you got a wave.

Must be different personality types in different areas, I guess.
I've owned a 96 CE for about 6 months now out here in Northern CA. and used to wave, all I ever got back was a bunch of snooty nose's up in the air or been flipped the bird, so I just quit waving (may as well wave at a camaro). My 30 year old son says I just don't have the correct "Corvette attitude" I don't drive around with my "hey look at me" parking lights on, I don't drive fast and weave in and out of traffic or try and pick up street races. I just like to cruise and enjoy driving my older corvette. Oh, I do open her up every once and a while when I get the chance and it's safe, ya gotta do that, I'm even toying with the idea of going out to the local strip and making a couple of passes, see what she'll do. Anyway, getting back on topic, this past weekend, a guy in a C5 or 6 (I can't tell em apart yet) actually waved at me....I almost drove off the road, but I did wave back.....after I saw at least four fingers. First time for everything I guess. Maybe people are changing.

It must have something to do with where you live. I get waves about 90% of the time. A couple days ago a guy in a new c-6 saw me before I saw him, he was waving and had a big smile on his face. Maybe he just picked up the car I don't know, but it made my day.

Wave's alive in South Ga- I see two C5's and exchange waves every day on my 40 mi. commute. Down here it's pretty common for the chevy muscle car guys to acknowledge one another. I used to wave Vettes back when I drove a 95 Z- 28 and more often than not they would return the wave. It pretty much says "The Heartbeat of America brother- Keep it Alive".

The wave is alive in the midwest. I get waves 90% of the time. My kids think its very cool and wonder how everyone who has a Corvette knows about "the secret club"....
