Default 2009's almost over. Post your most recent C4 pic's & list what was done in 2009...

It's the 5th of December 2009, and so far, not a single flake of snow has fallen and I'm as happy as can be. The longer the ground stays snow-free, the longer I get to drive the 'Vette.

Thought it'd be nice to start a thread in which EVERYONE can post a few of their most recent C4 pic's and a list of mods/projects that you completed this year. Feel free to also list mods/projects you plan on doing in 2010.

(Please don't quote pictures )

I'll start off with mine...

Year and model: 1992 Corvette

Completed in 2009:

- Corsa exhaust
- Long tube headers
- Cut-lid and K&N
- PCMforless custom tune
- HD Electric water pump
- Complete ignition system overhaul (all Delco replacements)
- Bosch 3 injectors
- Racetronix 255 fuel pump
- New fue pressurel regulator and filter
- New sensors (TPS/IAC/02 sensors)
- T.B. Coolant bypass
- GoodYear GS-D3 315's out back
- Lowered the rear end
- Alpine head unit
- HydroCarbon radio bezel and console cover

-----
-----

Plans for 2010:

- 1.6 roller rockers and new valve springs
- 4.10 gears
- Adjustable front springs from VBP
- C5 front brake upgrade
- New speakers, a sub and an amp to finish off the audio system
- Replace a few weather-strips throughout

Feel free to add your pic's and info as well!!!

how do you keep the 315's from rubbing..especially lowered??? mine came with ZR1 rubber and I desperately want it back to stock size so I can hit corners harder without rubbing.

Rubbing has never been an issue on mine

The car has ZR1 replica wheels with the GS off-set so they fit right in with no rubbing. The rear lowering bolts are adjustable and I lowered the rear just enough to get the gap between the tire and fender to match the front for a nice "flat" stance.

As it sits right now, I have no issues at all with rubbing. Perhaps next year when I lower my front (and thus, have to lower the rear even further) I may run into something, but right now, it fine. Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you

My `87 The only thing I`ve added this year is the sawblades, a new Clarion radio with USB/Ipod controls, & had the rear clip repainted because of peeling clearcoat ( paint done by Fantastic collision, Levittown,Pa. Great job, & only cost $650 )

That info was very helpful. I can see from your pics the offset is different and the 9.5" stock wheel centers set inboard a little closer. I'm seriously thinking about buying a pair of 285's and selling the 315's used while they are still like new.

Pics... I've posted enough, but here ya go.

What was done to it this year?

A lot:

- Installed Kirkey 17" road race seats on custom designed and made brackets with I/O port back braces.
- Installed Simpson 6 point harnesses
- Removed radio and climate controls and replaced with aluminum blanks.
- Painted interior and added heat shielding
- Went through 2 ignitions and 3 coils. Ended up with a MSD digital 7 and a HVC pro power coil.
- Changed over to Champion S55C "race" plugs
- New aluminum pedals
- Meziere electric water pump after eating 2 mechanical ones
- added Moroso 3qt sump
- added Canton oil cooler
- upgraded to Wilwood SL6R brakes, cooling ducts, and rotors
- made my GS fender stripes

...and more than I care to remember because all of it equals money, blood, and sweat.

My big project for the Summer was to build onto the shop so I had room to park some of the Vettes inside over the Winter. Now I'll have room to restore my 90 Morrison World Challenge car in time for the NCM C4 Bash in May 2010.

Gosh, I shutter to think about this. Spending thousands on a car worth only a few thousand? I keep asking myself why. I know why, because my wife won't let me have a C6!

This year's list:

* True dual exhaust conversion with new high flow cats.
* New Bosch-3 30 lb injectors from FIC - definitely worthwhile!
* A new set of pulleys for the blower from Greg @ BlowerWorks
* Tune up, new wires, plugs, etc.
* New chip setup so I can do my own tunes on the fly
* Ditched the Blose and replaced with a Kenwood double din and four new speakers and sub - Definitely makes cruising a pleasure again!
* New set of sill guards

Overall, I think I put in almost as much in these upgrades as I could sell the car for these days!
