Default Driver window cost

I need to know how much a driver window costs for a 1990 corvette convertible. I got in my car today, cranked it and shut the door. The only problem was that when I shut the door, the window shattered all over the place.

Default window

well if you were closer I have one for you. Shipping something like that I think would be risky. Post this in the for sale/ wanted forum also there might be someone close enough that you could meet up. Good luck with it and sorry to hear about your bad luck on breaking the window.

Thanks I had not thought about that. I would like to get a new tempered one for both sides, but I think that the budget cannot handle that right now.

This happened to my rear window and destroyed some of the paint around it. Hope it didnt damage your paint job. I too just called a wrecker for a used one, no problem. Just 600 bucks.

I bought one from the Bay for about $75. It was in excellent condition.

I thought tempered glass was not supposed to cut you and that it broke in little squares. That is what happened when my friends lexus was broken into a couple of years ago. My arms look like I got into a fight with a razor blade.

quick comment
- there are some damn terrific people on CF!! Look how this issue has had offers to help OP with his window. Ship him one, meet him with one, where to look, etc!!!
Besides the very friendly and funny banter on this forum, there are LOTS of wonderful people willing to step up to the plate and help a fellow member out. I am sooooooo glad I found and joined this dysfunctional family

Figure $100-150 (depending on condition) for a used window.
