What's the best bang for the bucks in brake options. This corvette will not be raced. Thanks

Use really good pads, they will make a world of difference. Carbotech is good just naming one.

Don't do the C5 conversion if it's only street driven. A lot of stock C-4 Corvette wheels will not clear them and you may cause yourself a big expense in wheels.

Braided brake hoses,good pads you will almost go through the windshield

For an older car, I would recommend braided SS hose. After that, THOROUGHLY cleaned calipers, brake pads and rotors.

If you want you can upgrade to the J55 13" C4 brakes for a lot less than the C5 conversion. Also, good pads, clean calipers (good seals and grease on guide pins) will make a world of difference, like others mentioned.
