Default Out with the old and in with the new (pics)

It was time for some new tires and wheels.

The old tires were worn and needed replaced. They were Falkin Ziex 275 40 17 on all four corners. I was looking for a good summer street tire primarily but something sticky for the track as well. I also wanted something bigger in the rear. So after some research and talking to a few people I went with Nitto 555's, 275 40 17 in front and 305 35 18 drag radials for the rear.

The old wheels were 17" C5 ZO6 Motorsports in black. I really like the way these look but from the first day I put them on my car the fake rivets bothered me. Plus they are only 9.5" wide and a pain to keep clean, so that gives me an excuse to buy new wheels. So I bought some black C5 wheels, 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear.

Arctic white is a beautiful color and the black contrasts perfectly.

Those wheels look really good. I looked at those wheels in both black and polished and thought long and hard about those for my car. In the end I went with the A molds to keep a little more period look, but those do look good on your car.

I was actually going to do black A molds but they only come in 17" as far as I know and I wanted 18" for the rear.
