Default Removing reverse lockout collar

Friend of mine has a '93 six speed like mine. He has a problem shifting into reverse, having not seen it I'll try to explain what is happening. It is like when he picks up on the collar to go to reverse isn't allowing it to do so. Not sure how the **** comes off as I haven't looked at mine. I am wondering if there is a pin that goes through the collar on the shaft that goes up and down. In one of the corvette catalogs it shows a picture of a pin. Also the ****, and wondered if the collar comes with the **** as it was not listed as a seperate part.

His wife told him he needs to sell it. I looked it up and it is a '93 coupe six speed in canary yellow black interior, only 367 built knd of rare, he should hang on to it.
