where is the OBDII jack? 96

Default where is the OBDII jack? 96

check engine light is coming on. where can I plug an OBDII reader. can't find the jack under the dash where I would expect it. do I have to remove a panel? 1996 LT1

Should be in front of your right knee (at the bottom of the carpeted hush panel).

If you don't see it, someone might have tucked it up behind the panel.
But it should be in plain view, at least that's how it left the factory.

Thats where mine is on my 96. yours should be there too.

It may have a cover snapped over it.

The covers tend to get lost but it came from the factory with a cover so you may not see an open plug.
