Default LT1 muffler eliminators--Will it pass state Insp???

I ordered Corvette LT1 muffler eliminators for my vette . I was doing some research and im not sure , if I will pass PA. state Insp. With out the resonator. Would any one know If I put a X pipe in and will it pass the Pa. State Insp. Or Should I just leave the resonator installed for now , And see how I like it .
There are alot of great posting on muffler eliminators and good Info.

I was on you tube and they Both sound great .

Thanks Mark

Does the state check for noise levels in terms of decibels when they do an inspection? Do local law enforcement write lots of tickets for loud exhaust?

An X-pipe will change the tone of the exhaust note but may not do a lot to quiet the exhaust. The factory resonator will reduce the exhaust noise and help with reducing interior resonance.

Muffler eliminators without the factory resonator will be loud both inside and outside. At WOT, VERY LOUD.

I've got muffler eliminators on my LT4 with the factory resonator still in place.
It has a pretty good sound to it, and at times (with the right rpm and load level) there is some resonance.
To me the sound is perfect. The wife does not care for the resonance at times though.

We've got the straight pipe and muffler eliminators from corvette central on our LT4 and it sounds great to us! And at times there is some resonance, but we don't really notice.

I was wondering if I would have problems here in NY with the muffler eliminators, but it was cool. I have them installed on my 85 with just the cat and it sounds awesome, not loud at idle and not too loud when you get on it. To me, it reminds me of a late 60's Vette with sidepipes. I have to replace my cat this weekend and I am wondering what it will do to the sound.

I got my eliminators on eBay from Allen's Exhaust. Great quality and good customer service.

These are the ones I put on my car, I didn't like the ones from Corvette Central.

I have heard muffler eliminators on cars that were basically stock, and I personally didnt care much for the noise. Now get more power under the hood, and the exhaust note changes, and it sounds better to my ears.

I went with full 3" B&B exhaust to feed the 421. I was just thinking how it would sound with muffler eliminators (LT-1 tips). I just think the other tips look cheap.

I will have to get the motor started shortly to see how the full B&B system sounds like with 2 mufflers, and the center section.
