1984 wires in engine compartment

1984 wires in engine compartment
I have a 1984 vette that i cant figure out where two wires go. They are near the distributor on the drivers side. One is orange and the other is brown. They are both crimped together and has a fitting that looks like a ground wire. I cant find a orange and brown wire on any of my schematics. can any one tell me what these two wires are for?

..Just tuned mine (84) and saw the same wires and they weren't attached to anything..
