What size in-dash lcd head unit will fit '92?
I originally posted this in the audio section but i think i'll have better luck here. I was wondering which size in-dash lcd head unit will fit in my '92. I have my eye on a few units with 7inch lcd screens but wasnt sure if this was too big to replace the original bose head unit. Would I need to shave a little off the sides of the dash space to get a unit of this size to fit?...or will it fit nicely. I measured the original head unit in my car and it seems to be just about 7 inches across. Any help here would be appreciated.
If it'll help, an example of what I'm looking at getting is this:

Its telling me that it won't fit my car but not sure if thats reliable. So if anyone has any experience with this or any tips that would be awesome, thanks.

Double DIN like mine, IPOD, Bluetooth Voice Command, Rear Camara, AVIC Pioneer Series. Who ever said a 91s Audio system cant compete with the newer cars?

That small switch under that nice stereo certainly will turn a few heads too.

I have a '93 and installed a Panasonic AVH-P4000DVD which was purchased from Sonic Electronix. Initially they told me it wouldn't fit. I did install it myself but there were a few issues. The stock Bose did not have mounting panels on it that could be swapped over to the Panasonic. I had to measure, bend, try & err but it worked. The Bose also uses a tab on the back that fits into a slot in the molded plastic structure of the dash. It had to cut out(using a cutting tip on a soldering gun) to allow the new unit to fit deep enough into the dash. There was a problem finding an antenna connector. Bottom line, let a professional do it. If you absolutely must have the experience, e-mail me and I'll try to answer any questions.
