I have an Escort Solo S2 radar detector for my 96 LT1. After the crappy suction cups kept coming off when I was driving, I began looking for another alternative. I then tried the sunvisor clip which sucks even more!
I had to fold down the visor to make the detector point at the road! Then I found this website today! What I liked about this mount is that it uses the stock escort mount that comes with the unit. I just ordered this adjustable unit, and will post pics of the install. Hopefully this mount will work better than all of the other ones I have tried!!

So how did this end up working out?? I had saved this site some time ago but still haven't pulled the trigger. I'd love to see how it fits on the C4
