Default Targa or Coupe?

when searching to purchase a C4 Vette how do you tell if the car you are looking at has a Targa Top or is a Coupe Model? How likely is it to find a Targa vs a Coupe model as I want the Targa Type deal?
Thanks in Advanced

All C4's are either targa or convertible; a true coupe would be a fixed roof (which was not available on the C4's) and a targa is a removable roof. There is probably a better definition than that somewhere, but either way it's listed is the same for these cars.

Okay so the C4's aren't offered in FRC such as a Z06?
So any model that I get rather it be '89 or '95, it will have a targa top?

If it isn't a vert all C4 Coupes are targa tops

C4 + (C4 to C5 kit installed) = C5

'Targa' is reserved for people who wear dress-shoes w/ no socks

Coupe w/Removable Top is for those that don't own dress shoes

I you buy a C4 and buy a C5 kit then install and paint, you will spend more than if you just buy a C5.

Putting a C5 kit on a C4 makes as much sense as putting jelly beans on an anchovy pizza.

I think someone has permanently installed a auxillary hardtop on a vert though

It's funny that some of the C3s with t-tops cost more than verts in hind sight

Umm...sorry but I see the kit sold for $582-900 brand new....plus paint....that's way cheaper than $13,000 grand for buying a newer C5 vette.
And It makes sense to me to install it because I like the look of the C5 Vette's. I mean isn't this hobby about customizing and personalization?
If not why do we even have this site if not just for repairs?
