I've read somewhere, don't recall where, that it is glued with a couple of globs of some kind of paste. The removal process is with the a spatula/putty knife and you have to be carefull around the paste. It may have been in Corvette Action Center. If you figure this one out please post update, I have this on my to do list.
Has any one removed the headliner from their painted roof ? What holds it in, best way to get it out? From a late C4.
I replaced mine on my 84 last year. It was glued in place, but the fabric and backer board had started to deteriorate and sag, so I was able to work under it. The board was bad, so I actually went to an art supply store and bought a sheet of cardboard that was the same as the original. Icovered it with relacement fabric that I bought on Ebay.
I cleaned up the interior surface of the roof and glued the new one in place -it came out great.
