RPO sticker - on an 85, pretty sure it's under the LH storage compartment lid behind the drivers seat.

Nope. It should be under the center console lid in between the two seats.

??? - on my 85, it was under the lid of the LH storage compartment lid. this is verified by - http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...1985/85id.html - i'm not sure when they moved it to the center console lid - my 90 did have the RPO sticker under the console lid...

this is interesting - gkrynick22, i see you too have an 85, and i do know mine was under the storage lid. it might be possible that sometime during the 85 production year it was moved. ??? - my 85 was built late in the 85 production run.

read the identification RPO sticker location for the 1986 model year - http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...1986/86id.html - i'm not really sure why yours would be located on the console lid - ???

Actually, believe it no not, I think you are both correct. The NCRS Judging Manual for 1984-1986 Corvettes says the following:

"Late 1984 cars and ALL 1985 and 1986 cars have a Service Parts Identification Label inside the glovebox behind the passenger seat or on the inside the lid of the center consol."

So NCRS judges either way as correct. I think JoeC got it right when he suggested that GM changed the location sometime during the 1985 production run.

FWIW

i have added a simple poll in the general C4 section. it will be interesting to see what the 85 split is on location of the RPO sticker.

Actually believe it or not, I am an idiot. This might still be true but, it is in the compartment behind the driver seat for me too. I just looked. Not sure what I was thinking. I think my previous F-body's were in the center console. So.... open mouth and insert foot.
