Default AC Fixed!! Thanks!!

Hey guys. I made a post a month ago about my AC blowing HOT air. I knew the freon was ok because the tubes we cold and sweating. One suggested a vacuum leak. I replaced the Vacuum check valve for $2.88 and all is working! The heater door was staying open, Thanks for the help!!!! Happy 4th and God Bless America:flag

And, a fairly cheap one at that, the best kind

btw. where is the valve you checked?

I am wondering if it is the same check valve that controls the heater? My heater doesnt work. very well.

That’s great! Looked at your original thread and it was a blend door problem as I suspected. I thought the door was electrical on the 91 but I guess it has vacuum to operate it.

Good Job.

That's one of the cheapest and easiest fixes I can remember for a A/C problem. Glad all is well and your blowing cold air again.

It's a small valve on top behind the plenum. It has 3 (2 very small) hose lines connected. The entire valve is only about 2 inches long.

I wanted to know, was the clutch turning when you had the AC on?
Did you let the car run for awhile, while you had the AC on to see that the lines were cold and sweaty?

Right now my clutch isn't turning at all.
What should I be checking for?

Thanks for any help!

Default i wonder if this could be my answer?

I just posted a thread 10 minutes ago.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-g...-how-much.html

I have cold pipes but hot air. Is this a simple repair? Is this a part only from dealership or any parts store? do you have the model number?
