Default Resonator removal, more agressive sound?

On an LT1 with a 3" Magnaflow catback.

I don't drive the car much so a bit of interior resonance would be OK, but I wouldn't want the overall volume to go up too much. In its current state I don't consider it loud - I think the factory cats + resonator + 2 mufflers out the back keep the volume in check, obviously it is louder than stock but it is not anywhere near being obnoxiously loud. It has a very deep mellow tone and I'm looking for something with a little more of an agressive "bite."

I have 4.11 rear gear which seems to keep the rpm's out of the drone zone on the highway.

What do you think? Waste of time or worth a try? I can't remember if the X pipe is welded to the resonator or not. I guess it's not that big of a deal to make a cut, I can always weld it back up if I don't like it. Just trying to see if anyone has done this before I put forth the time/effort.

I took the resonator out and replaced it with an X pipe with stock mufflers, the sound was better. Sounds better with Magnaflows

My 96 has the Magnaflow Performance exhaust mufflers without a resonator. The sound is very aggressive, so aggressive that I refer to that Vette as he.

Normally we refer to them as she but, The Ghost has ***** for sure.

That's all the convincing I need... time to pickup some 3" stainless pipe and cut out the resonator.
