that had about 30 cars or so. Turns out one of the local families owns several gravel pits and obviously enjoys cars. I tried to take pics through the windows, some are ok others not so much. Reason for this thread is the CORVETTES the guy has....a '53, '54 and a '55 lined up next to each other...'63 split window coupe...an '85 that from what little I could see was darn near perfect. There was a '57 or '59 vert with the hardtop sitting next to it, several C5's lined up. There were also some oddities..a 1902 oldsmobile, 3 corvairs (one was a Spyder vert) but those pics just didn't come out...several cars from the 20's and 30's..and he even has one of those "floating cars" with the right hand drive like a boat. Hope you enjoy the pics but like I said they were taken through the windows.

I would happily stab myself in the leg for that split window...
I'm sure it's a private collection and all owned by one guy. Some of the heartland farmers own a TON of land and make a TON of money. I knew a guy who lived just outside of Meckling, SD. It's a tiny spit of a town. It's population is maybe 50 (no, that's not an exaggeration. I lived in SD most of my life. I drove through this town every time I went to see my grandparents.). He owned property that he had never seen before. He had 2 Cessnas that he had a license to fly... and he flew them out of his empty field, 5 Semis and trailers for hauling hay alone, a 1800 HP 72 GTO (the last year of the GTO and it was UGLY!!! but fast.), and more random cars than you could imagine. All rebuilt himself. I could go on, but this is getting long enough.
Beautiful cars! Maybe you need to schedule a viewing... or a purchase....

As far as I know these are all a personal collection. Every car (except the '85 and the C5's) had a vanity plate with the type and year on it, but I'd imagine they're just mock-up plates as it'd be very difficult to be the only one in the whole state to request and get a year specific plate for each car. I'd love to schedule a tour to get some really clear close up shots. As cool as the first gen cars are that '63 was just....wow.

The plates look real, not difficult to spec out vanity plates, I see a couple of different spellings. There is a silver C6. Daytona Blue is my favorite SWC color. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with the previous poster that some of these little no-stop sign towns can have incredible collections. There is a farmer/rancher here that could field an entire Barret Jackson Saturday sale with top shelf muscle cars.
