What will be your next car if you get rid of the C4?
I have been wondering what I should get if I get rid of my 1986 C4.
Here are some of the cars that I have pondered getting and the downside to getting them.
2009-2010 370Z.
Pros:
1. Nice looking
2. Not many on the street around here.
3. Strong V6 ( 4.9-5 sec 0-60)
Cons:
1. Peaky course sounding V6
2. While faster than my C4 not as fast as a stock C5.
C5
Pros:
1. Good performance for the price
2. Upgrade from my C4
3. Still a Vette
Cons
1. Don’t like the look all that much
2. Allot of them on the road
2010 GT-2011 Mustang
Pros:
1. Good performance for the price
2. Tons of performance upgrades
Con
1. Tons of mustangs on the street
2. Rental car Status
Newer C4
Pros
1. More power
2. Still a Vette
3. Cheaper
Cons
1. I don’t like the newer Dash and Instrumentation of the newer C4.
2. Not much of an upgrade from what I have
I left out the Camaro and Hyundi Genesis because I don’t like the bulky Camaro and Its bad Instrumentation and the Hyundi is overpriced IMO
I guess Ill keep my C4 a little longer.
What would you get should you get ride of your C4?

1995 ZR1, Oh wait, that's still technically a C4. How about a Callaway Aero Body....well crap, that's a C4 too. I guess I just like C4's. If I don't like the styling of the later model Vettes I couldn't really call it an upgrade. The later models don't seem to have the long, lean, mean look about them and the C6 headlights are visible. The C5 doesn't have the clamshell hood.
I'm going to have a 7000 RPM, 500+ horsepower C4 and I think that's all I'll need. But I am easy to please.

Keep the C4 and look into an older C6. A 2005 has really come down in price, but if you want an auto, I would go with a 2006 for the paddle shift.

[IMG][/IMG]My next Corvette will be something along the lines of this Mid-year.Slammed,airbags,massaged fiberglass for some meats in the rear with bone stock body on the outside.C2 or maybe even a C1 but the modded C1s are getting a little too common. In order to get the next car would mean my current car has to go and thats not going to happen anytime soon.

If I sold my 1992 C4 I would probably buy a 1919-1922 or so Model T Ford roadster. They are a lot of fun, parts are STILL readily available, and you do not see one on the streets everyday. Of course, I would still have my 2002 Z06, 1974 Pantera, 2000 BMW M roadster, and 1936 Packard convertible sedan, so I really would not need to run out and buy anything.

I won't get rid of my c4, will be more valuable years later.and I love the feeling in the cockpit.
i wish to own a new c6z or a zr1. But I might fall in love with another vette later , maybe a c7 or a c8. who knows
I'm not greedy and convinced with what I have , even if I can't get a better car than my c4 , I'm happy with it
greed is permanent slavery.

Well hello Mohammed, I've been looking at some of your videos on Facebook. It looks like you guys really have some fun over there. Do you not have any speed limits or are the police just not that worried about it. That makes me want to move so I can drive my car fast also.
Oh, BTW, I've tried Google translate on some of the writing on your Facebook page and it even gets Google confused.

I like my C4 & don't see myself getting rid of it, but if, say, it was stolen and/or totaled & I was looking to replace it with another "toy'' I would either get another C4 or a 4th gen Trans Am. Possibly an 05-09 Mustang GT if I could find one someone had dressed up to look Eleanor-like (plain old Mustangs are just a bit too commonplace).
I would love a C6 or a new Challenger, but we're talking quite a bit of exta scratch there...C4s & TAs or Mustangs with a few years under their belts are more palatable to my ''toy'' mindset moneywise.

1974 Pantera,
No C4 now went back to a musclecar, love it
Easy to work on
Cheap to fix
Nothing electric to break
Looks cool
No smog to deal with (yet)
Cons
Cant insure it to DD unless I risked every penny sunk into it otherwise Id drive it everywhere.
Maybe one day the right C4 as a DD/cruiser but wouldnt waste $ trying to make it run.
Love/hate thing with Corvettes.
If I could have any Vette it would be someting similar to Z51Jeff posted. Maybe a C1 with a straght axle and a tunnel ram, radiused wells, ratty and quick.

Safety Car
Within the next year, it will be replaced with a Lotus Esprit Turbo SE or Esprit S4.
I've looked into different cars and I like a lot of the offerings from the English. I own a Jaguar XKR and love it, and I'd like to replace my DD Audi A4 with an XJR soon enough. I daily drive the XKR and love it, but 4 doors would be nice when I need to take people places. If I can find an XJR100, that would be a beautiful addition...

Got many of good quotes
LOL @ speed limits , yes we have , but if someone got caught street racing , they just put you in jail for a week and your car for a month and if you have connections , it's a piece of cake. Nearest track here is more than one hour of driving. Unlike what you have in there. I know you got some serious rules. But you got many places to go.
You are welcome anyday ,
google will be confused cuz you're trying to translate local language,
sorry OP for hijacking your thread
