if i remember right, ecklers sold the kit. i'm surprised how many people think that thing is factory. almost as bad as the corvette pickup truck. 40 grand for that thing - ??? - good luck with that sale -

Typical 70's conversion. Eckler's actually sold quite a few kits, back in the day.

I took these pics at a Car Show in Vero Beach, Fla this Summer. The car was made from a C5 Corvette (I'm pretty sure, or maybe a C6). A kit to turn a Corvette into a '57 Chevy Bellaire (Front) and '59 Impala (Rear):
