Default Muffler eliminators installed. Bye bye Magnaflows.

After an agonizing 7 hour wait, I finally got my car back from the mechanic. The muffler eliminators look great on there and sound amazing as well. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a little more sound out of their Vette. Interior resonance still sounds the same while cruising; nothing unbearable or annoying. However, once you put your foot into it, it just comes to life. From the outside, the sound is definitely a lot deeper and sounds quite a bit throatier when revving it. I'll post some pictures within the next few minutes and put a video up on YouTube tomorrow to show what it sounds like. Next step is getting rid of the resonator

When I had eliminators I also got rid of the resonator and replaced it with a magnaflow dual in/dual out muffler, which really isn't much more than a glorified X pipe. It was a waste of money.

When you have the time you might want to rotate those clamps so they don't show up so much from the back. After all the back is about all most Mustang drivers ever see and you do want to look your best.

Yep, love my MEs. Next time you are in an underground garage give it a good rev...it's awesome! Worth every bit of the $149 they cost!

Definitely worth it! And I will give it a good rev or two! The college I go to has quite a large parking deck so next time I'm there, I'll have some fun

Yea, I'll have to change that sometime soon. It's already bothering me. I preferred the clamps that came with the Magnaflows. Much cleaner look than these, but they do the same thing so no reason to make a big deal about it.

Here are my elim's on my previous 94... Awesome! the muffler shop fabricate them from scratch and weld them on the car with LT1 tip from OEM mufflers welded on straight and cleanly paint them in black All this for 120$ installation included WOW! At that price i even gave im a 20$ tip for a cold and still under the elim's cost in vendor catalog and dont even have to wash my hands!Next time get to a muffler shop and ask them to do this and it should cost you less then vendor catalog and they will be clean welded on... All you have to do is enjoy them!

I loved the sound of elims on my 88' One of the best sounding "exhausts" for the money

However my 91 has em and has this annoying as hell "pop" when off the throttle.

Mine has the popping noises when my foot goes off the gas and such. Personally, it doesn't bother me since it's been like that since I had the car which went from Flowmasters to the Magnaflows to now the eliminators, plus I always thought it was kinda cool To each their own though,

Thanks a lot. I will keep that in mind when I eventually get the resonator taken out

I've been through the Pittsburgh tunnels! What a blast! The best noise I ever made was with my 73 Grand Prix with a 455 4bbl. Dual flowmaster 40 series, headers and straight through exhaust. When I punched the 4bbl in it would scare the h=ll out of everyone around me!

Yea, I really don't care for them. For now though, they serve the purpose. I'll have to pick up a set of the strap style band clamps eventually and swap them. Will give it a much cleaner look.

Or just have them welded.
