The emblem looks like it was made by a serial killer. Awesome.....

I can see the next trend at Barret Jackson next year.

1987 base convertible is my suggestion for your friend. They are relatively cheap....beaters go for $2,500 and nice ones are only at the most $14,000.

I am prejudiced in favor of 1987....was 47 years-of-age and wanted one then. But my wife had her "dream" Eldorado then (1984) and the other car had to be a pickup.

1986 Corvette is just as desirable....just like the rims of the 1987 better. I don't do mechanics and I bought my 1987 from a person that did not "diddle" with it.....he went to the Chevrolet dealer for everything.

I actually value my 1987 Corvette #2 in my life; wife of course, is #1......the the cat, then the dog, then son #1, then son #2 And I bet you think I'm joking.

As cool as the ZR1s are... I think I would rather have a GS. And if I ever buy another C4 (not to replace my 88, but to keep it company) it will probably be one of these. Despite what I said earlier about preferring the styling of the earlier cars... that blue/white paint and LT4 trump all... to me this is the best C4.
We have similar taste but they're pricey.
