Default Service Manual on CD?

I'm eyeing the 1988-1990 service manuals on CD by Dave Graham Auto Literature. Sounds like these are copies of the original service manuals. Are these really just page-for-page copies?

Trying to decide if I should get the cd or a used set of books.

If you have any experience between the cd and the book let me know. Thanks.

Depends upon how you feel about getting grease and dirt in the keyboard...

I don't have a computer out in the driveway.

Just research the item you want and print that page. If you had a book it would just get trashed. Printing is easy and enlarging schematics is excellent.

Like the idea of being able to enlarge schematics. Anyone know if the 'Dave Graham Auto Literature' CD is the same as the FSM? I just don't want to get stuck with something similar to a Haynes or Chilton manual. My first project was to replace the brake booster. My Chilton manual was about as helpful as; step 1 - remove brake booster; step 2-install new brake booster.

I bought a shop manual CD for my '86 several years ago. I don't remember where it came from. I think it was some place in Texas.

The one I have is a scan of the paper shop manual. The problem with that is that you can't do a search for a word. I did copy it to my hard drive, so it's very fast to scroll through it. I can print out a page and take it to the garage and not worry about getting grease, solvent, etc. on my FSM. I have also "printed" individual pages to PDF files and posted them here.
