Default Door sill carpet install

I bought new door sill carpets from Ecklers. What id the proceedure in installing them?
1. How well do the old ones come out
2. Are they glued and should I remove the glue?
3. If so what should I remove it wth?
4. What should I use to adhere the new carpet sills?

I used 3M contact cement , paint it on, wait 5 minites, then lay the carpet on... You have to get it on perfect the first time because this stuff doesn't let go once you put the carpet down....The bright side is, it wont let the carpet fall off like many of the spray adhesives will..I used this stuff on my Bass Boat carpet and 5 years later its still going strong..........WW

Iam about to start replacing the complete carpet in my 1987,with all my searching Ive have bought some supplies.
3m High Strength 90 spray adhesive(green can)
And for removal Iam going to try the 3m Adhesive remover, plus a heat gun.

I just redid mine last week. I just used heat gun ant it came right off. Then to put new on I just used 3m spray glue. Then I re heated the glue that was from the factory That was still on sill plus the spray glue and it worked like a charm.
