Corvette C4 How To Videos

Melting Slicks
I didn't see that one. This is the one I found. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-g...therstrip.html
I just needed to know where the pins were to determine if the door panel needed to be removed. Looks like I can't escape it so I'm replacing the window motors while I'm in there too.

That made it look easy to change the under dash CDM but it was not. How do I know because that was my car. Now the charge for that labor was well worth it. 100.00 I took the car over to longwood fl. and had the CDM removed for repair along with 1 speaker amp. Then the next week I went back for the reinstall and to finish the video

Melting Slicks
I soaked a rag in brake cleaner, ran it along the channel to clean it out. I didn't have to remove the halo lights because when I installed the new side pieces in the hatch, I never installed that last screw, I will go back and insert screws now that I know I won't be taking this apart again. Also, instead of removing both window lift shocks, I removed one at a time. I removed it, slipped the strip underneath and them reinstalled, did the same for both sides. I also started in the corners and worked my way around instead of folding it half to find the center. The whole job took 1/2 hour. No beer.

I replaced the rear window weatherstrip about two years ago. Messy job with all the yellow gook under the OEM strip. The new strip was/is so thick, I have to push with both hands to shut the window. No biggie. Thanks for the vids.
