I'll be in it for the "Long Haul" again this year.
Mike (RetiredSFC 97) will be doing the long haul with me this year.
So, we'll be heading to Detroit early Friday morning (June 1st).
I've been doing the Long Haul every year since 2003, so no need to stop now.

I've been wondering when this thread would start. Getting my car ready to go now. Stripped and polished and waxed this past weekend. Put some new speakers in and a power pack for the HU, rerouted my ipod to the gove box. Then as I was driving my STS up on the ramps to change oil I promptly drove into the nose of it. I ain't lying So then I stripped and polished and waxed the hood and nose again.
Just need to do the wheels and exhaust tips now. And I did wash my engine but I need to spiff it up some.
Tonight I am going to take off the second coat of wax, as it's been sitting all day in the garage waxed down.
Oh yeah and I need to register
And I got me a new shift ****

I am a newby to the forum and the world of corvette touring.
Is there a southern tour route that passes through Alabama to hook up at Arlington? It is a nice one day drive from Montgomery to there. With it being in Arlington on a Saturday I should be able to get back for work on Monday.

It ended in Montgomery 2 years ago. IIRC

The Hot Rod Power Tour is not about "Corvette" touring.
It is sponsored by Hot Rod Magazine, and includes cars of every make and model you can think of.
2 years ago, the tour had a stop in Birmingham and ended in Mobile.
Last year, we had a stop Montgomery (remember Mike, it was 105° in the shade that afternoon)
And that is where they had your hotel reservations messed up.

I'm trying to design and order a new license plate frame and run some programs at work all at the same time.

Hopefully it will pass through here again in the not too distant future.
Yes, it does get up in the 100s here in July and August. As hot as it has been so far this year it will probable be in the 100s in June also. That is what air conditioning is for.
Until you come through here again E7,AF,RET(1985)

Maybe we'll see you at one of the stops (fuel, rest, or venue) this year.
