Since the visors worked, what car did they originally fit?

Nice job.

I always did miss the compass in the Vette. Not that you've got much use for it around here but I got used to having one in my other US cars.

Well maybe some day.

Yes, my 87 does. Since no one answered in the last 2 and a half months.

I might be able to make one for you with outside temp, but there's some compromises involved. You'll either lose the map lights, or have to take OnStar buttons in the bargain. I've yet to find a model of mirror that offered map lights/compass/temp with the correct functionality for courtesy lamp (door ajar).

I remember seeing this threads months ago... was looking forward to updates. Good job!

What is the power button for? I assume the "N" button is for the compass. Can you provide pictures/videos of the dimming function? I know some mirrors are better than others. Also, pictures of the LED lighting in the dark?

power button is to turn on/off the dimming function. N button is for compass.

I can try to get a video of the dimming function tomorrow.

were you wanting pictures of the orange ambient light or the map lights?

Regards,
Dan, I don't have the finalized adapter in my hands yet, but I should within 1-2 weeks. It's being manufactured as we speak.

I can sell the adapter alone for $39 with free shipping.

What would be needed to get the outside temp? Would we have to run a probe of some sort to outside the car?

yes, there would be a 2-wire sensor mounted outside the car, probably under the front bumper area. Those wires would have to be run into the cabin, up the A-pillar, and across the windshield header.
