Not a big deal Jim, just remove the AIR pump and brackets, then you can remove all the associated piping right down to the exhaust manifold. You can either cap the piping at the manifold if you want or remove it and thread in bolts as I did to clean up the area. There are a couple of electical solenoid things you can remove then tape up the connectors and roll them back under the manifold.
Go to the link provided you will note that a different belt may be needed so dont be without a ride to the parts house. I needed a 1" shorter belt with mine. No biggee but write the belt number/length down somewhere if you need another. I also had to grind a little on my alt case for one of the braces but looks like this kit addresses that issue.
While you may notice a SOTP increase I am thinking there is a little optimism in the description. This mod mainly gets some junk from under the hood, making access to other items a lot easier. If you arent in an EPA regulated area go ahead and do it.

Is it true that gives you 20hp ? because of the Air Pump weight reduction and parasitic loss ? Let me know more , i got one but i never thought it was 20 hp or so. Good News ! So if you remove the AC too those are 20 hp more ?

This was the first mod I did. True it cleans up the engine bay big time which makes it well worth the money, and that price is golden. I really question the 20 hp however.

Sammy, This does clean up the engine bay, but after installing one on my motor, I would also have to see proof that it makes 20hp.. I don't believe there is much resistance from the air pump, you can spin it with your finger and it will keep spinning for a few seconds, how much resistance could there be???.If there's very little resistance , then there's very little power lost.I didn't buy mine for a hp gain , I got it to clean up the engine bay. These are worth the price just for getting rid of the unsightly pump and as stated this is a real good price.....WW

When I removed my AIR stuff on my 87 last month, I put all of the OEM stuff in a box: pump, brackets, hoses, etc., and the whole box didn't weigh much more than 8 lbs. I also removed the A/C system (compressor, hoses, dryer, condenser) and that was a good 25 lbs.
Whether or not that total weight is worth a lot of HP, it's hard to say. I would bet there is no more than a 10HP drain when both the AIR pump and the A/C compressor are working. And these two belt-driven components don't always work constantly. The AIR pump delivers air to the exhaust manifolds and the main cat to help with emissions when the engine is cold. After the engine reaches operating temp, the AIR system really doesn't work a lot, if at all.
But given the total weight reduction, there may be an added benefit in handling because of that weight removal. Thirty-some pounds gone just in front of the wheels may mean better rear traction, a very slight increase in negative camber up front and possible better steering response.
