The 2012 HRPT was done two weeks ago and the dates for next year are out.

Sunday June 2: Texarkana, AR
Monday June 3: Little Rock, AR
Tuesday June 4: Memphis, TN
Wednesday June 5: Birmingham (Hoover), AL
Thursday June 6: Chattanooga, TN
Friday June 7: Charlotte, NC

Pete,
I knew it would stay in the south.
And Power Tour has been to most of those places in the past.
Arlington, TX has been a stop multiple times in the past.
Same with Little Rock, Memphis, Birmingham, and Chattanooga.
Of all the places listed, Charlotte, NC is the only place that I really would like to see.
We need to plan an alternate road trip for some of us diehard travelers.
Just might be time to skip Power Tour for a year or two.

If we could round up a few people here for a trip I would be interested. One thing I really noticed this year was it is so big it almost takes away from it. I didn't notice that the first two years because I was so wowed by all the cars.
And isn't Little Rock where people were saying was thug infested?

If you didn't leave early, it was a diaster getting into the venue at the next stop.
But then you miss out on some sites along the way, like we had in Keokuk, IA in 2010.
I saw none of that this year (because we had already driven through any area that might have something set up).
And yes, Little Rock was not a good place at all.
They didn't announce the venues, but if they have it at the Fair Grounds (like in the past), that is in a very bad part of town.

Oh yeah, I received my picture yesterday and I will say it's the best one yet. I like 2010's pic because it was at the Iowa Speedway, but this picture is really sharp.
I got the one that had all the stops on it.

Mine better be on my mailbox today. I chose the GM proving grounds, all others were taken on a weird angle and the on in Illinois was raining. The last day was the best for a photo shoot-out and he didnt set it up. Their website has been down for two weeks.

And yes, this is the best picture of all the years I've been doing this.
I got the one with all the stops also, and they did a great job.

Too early to commit, but certainly interested in possibly joining you guys. The car is also a toss up...new Grand Sport or C6 Z...still thinking about it

Not sure if they give you the option to get a digital copy or not, so I had one of the guys I work with take a good quality pic of mine.
Turned out pretty good.

I am skipping the PT this year. I've done every "Long Haul" since 2003, so this was a hard choice to make.
But I am taking a break for this year at least. Probably be back for it next year.
Besides there are two Harley events I want to attend and they are on the same two weekends as Power Tour.

I'm in this year. Hotels are all booked. Running with my neighbor and his 72 Pontiac convertible and we're splitting the costs of the rooms. He has to stop at least once for gas during each leg of the tour. My Vette can do about two legs without filling up. We did the 2006 and 2011 tours together. From what I've read, there's a record number of long-haul sign-ups for this years tour.

Tell your buddy I said Hi, he might remember me from the '06 tour.
Hopefully I will try and get back at it next year.
To help get you in the mood.

Greg,
Thanks for the reminder. What a great time those tours were, especially going through the smaller towns where everyone turned out to wave as the tour went through. Meeting of the hundreds that met us at each rides end where the vendors gathered and the outside hotel gatherings of the drivers as each night settled in and who could forget the ending of the tour when everyone gathered for the final photo and good by. Can't wait!
