Default 93 vette - P275/40ZR17 on a 255/45r17 front tire/rim fit?

I'm getting a good deal on a couple of P275/40ZR17 tires, and I have 255/45r17 tires in front. I just want to know if they'll fit?

Yep.

Although your speedo would be off 0.9 mph if they were mounted on the rear, on the front they would be fine.

If your tires are original sizes, then the 275's in front would go great with the 285's in the rear..

edit: I guess you need a least a 9 inch rim for them to work in the front.

The front rim would be too small. It would fit but not fit correctly on the rim .

I wonder if the 4 tires are not the same diameter if it will mess with the ASR. I guess you will know if the light comes on.

That size is the stock size for 95 and 96.They used a narrow tire for the front.

The 8.5" front rim is not in the recommend spec range for a 275/40 tire.

Yes, they will.
But he needs a 9" front rim to have a correct fit.

The stock rim for his 255/45-17 tire is only 8.5"

You cannot put 275's on a 8.5 wide wheel. Won't work very well at all. You need 9.5 wide wheel.

Thanks.. didn't know that...

I guess I should have looked up the rim width..

I assumed it was the same as the 91 A-molds I have. (9.5 inch)..

If you have 93 stock OEM are a staggared set;
17x8.5 in the front - 17x9.5 in the rear.

The 93 ZR-1 came with 17x9.5 front/17x11 rear
