Evening everyone, quick question for ya. Out of nowhere my CD player and radio stopped working. It just spits the CD back out and says ERR and doesn't pick up stations anymore. Any thoughts other than the fact that it's 17 years old ? Think I can pull it out and get it fixed ?

odd that it would not pick up stations AND stop reading cd's at the same time. as for obtaining a station, i would check the antenna connection in the rear of the head unit and check the connection at the antenna itself.

as for the cd not being able to be read, you may have a dirty laser that just needs a cleaning. check the cd for scratches or divets that would not allow the laser to dear the disc properly. the stereos can be cleaned and they can be rebuilt.

I was baffled myself. Just went to listen to some tunes and neither worked. I'll look into what you said, appreciate the help.
