Leaky weatherstripping 1996 convert
I just replace the weatherstripping on my 1996 convert. The glass now needs adjusting. I've noticed a few posts on adjusting this but i need a few pics/illustration that show where (what screws/bolts) in the door to make the appropriate adjustments. Anyone out there have something like this to help me out or even a complete description for performing this on a convertible. Also... does the weatherstripping have to be glued in????

When I changed my weather stripping, you have to make sure all the old glue is removed, and just inserted new into place. Then I had water leak, but this was my problem, so I want you check yours, cause I didn't know when I removed old weather stripping I removed small tiny seals.
This where I want you to look.
Take the top and just get it to fold, now look at the breaks in the two seals, each ends have little seals so when you close the top they seal together so there won't be any leaks. See if there is small rubber seals. If there missing, that's your problem. Those seals are both end of the center seals, and there are right and left seals.
Good luck.

Thanks 1bdvet. I checked and those seals are in place. I had also removed all the glue residue when removing the old rubber : That was the worst part of the job. The fellow that was helping me do this , started adjusting the glass after he replaced the broken front window stop and now I think it needs to be fine tuned.
