lights and diagnostic port on 84
my light under the dash and diagnostic port doesnt work have any of you have this problem i have a check engine light on and i need to get rid of it for emissions.

What do you get if you short A to B, do you get the codes ?? A is ground and B is the diagnostic terminal, white/black wire to the ECM..

Some scan tools don't want to seat on an OBD1 connector well. I have a tool that won't pull codes on my 85 while another one will.
I see code 12 flashing three times followed by code 21.
I haven't seen this code before, but supposedly -
code 21 = Horn relay coil shorted to battery or CCM internal open circuit
OOPS ... my bad - the 21 above is for the CCM in my 90
For the ECM in your 84, I think it should be
code 21 = TPS Voltage High
I see code 12 flashing three times followed by code 21.
I haven't seen this code before, but supposedly -
