The body side mouldings cover recesses in the body panels. You didn't say what year C4 you have, but either way, I think it would be a lot of work to remove the mouldings and fill everything in. And remember that the mouldings go all the way around the car except for the 91 and later front facia.

Nope. I like my Corvettes the way they come from the factory. Besides, why would you alter the looks of your Vette? You gotta remember that the National Corvette Restorers Society and Bloomington Gold judges C4s.

I would suggest using that time, energy and $$$ to enhance HP or cosmetics.

Leave Bubba in the backyard where he belongs...........

here's a pic of an early C4 with "shaved" body molding. to each his own, but personally, i like the looks of the black beltline moldings on the 84-90 C4's.

black car looks good already any other color the contrast is what makes a C4 and C4,

I don't see why the later c4 owners don't paint their's black instead of the factory body color,

Always liked the way that black car sits/looks.

Those flares look good on there

I can see why someone might want to do it. It makes the car look more modern in a way and smooth I guess but I wouldn't want to go through all the trouble and money to do that and I like the way it looks as is.
