Thinking of purchasing a lift
I am thinking of a lift purchase, as my garage is full with my Vette, my 57 Chevy & my wifes Mustang, my daily drivers stay outside. Any suggestions, 2 post , 4 post? What can I expect to pay for a 4 post? Any name brand suggestions? Did you set it up yourself or have someone assemble it? Thanks in advance for your replies.

If you're looking to park another vehicle underneath it, a 4 post is the only way to go.

Unless you have a rebar reinforced 6" concrete slab in your garage don't try to use a 2 post lift or you may have problems.. The best bang for your buck is a 4 post lift, American made is best....WW

Burning Brakes
I have 2 4 posters as well as a low raise scissor lift (for wheel and brake work)...
ceiling height needs to be close to 10 foot....and Boy I prefer that the posts be FOUR sided not 3 sided with the sliding mechanism inside... I like the posts on my backyard Buddy 10 times as much as I do the 3 sided posts on my Gemeni...
BTW...my 4 post lifts are both well over 10 years old...(closer to 20 to 25 for the BYB) and I have had absolutely no trouble with either... I just trust waling under the BYB more then I do the Gemini ...which I feel is not as stable .
