Default This might have been kinda cool

I found a couple of magazines from when the C4s were about to come out. There is a front end pic that might have been kinda nice to see. Whatcha think?

Looks like a 1980's space ship. Anyone else notice the hood louvers? Should have kept those!

i'll bet it may say Turbo Corvette on the side. Chevrolet was toying with the idea of a turbocharged C4 while the car was in its design stages. i know there were more than a few people that worked for the bow tie corp that wanted a mid engined Vette...

The rear of the B-pillar looks rounded and the emblem's different. No belt-line trim on it, either.

I like it.

Love the wheels! I had the same style on both an 86 coupe and an 87 vert.
Not too excited about the front end "lips" though.

Maybe it looked a little too much like this 1984 Detroit cousin.

I think it has a very clean Italian style to it. I like it.
Looks like it does say turbo on the side. Any more pics?

I'll scan a couple of the other pics and post them later today. A couple of the back end prototypes are really tacky - makes the new C7 back end look smart.

Hmmm. The lead exterior stylist for the C4 was Jerry Palmer. Jerry also did the 3rd Gen F-Car. Pretty easy to see the resemblance.
