Default C4 Fog Lamps

Is there any such thing as a "brighter" fog lamp bulb that is available at my local parts store that just plugs in ?

Yes, different bulb and you will have to change the fuse...
there is a good post about this and justifies the fuse change.
do a search on 'fog lamps' and you should find it...
I'll check back later, too see if you found it...

If you have the stock 34 watt bulbs in it, you can get 55 watt bulbs to replace them. Direct plug in. Change the fuse from 10 amp to 15 amp and you're good to go. The 55 watt bulbs make a huge difference and it does not hurt the system wiring to use a 15 amp fuse. Been using them for years now in my 85.

Plenty of those for sale on ebay. Cheaper than anyone else around here.

I did this upgrade MANY years ago. Just for fun I turned them on with the old 10 amp fuse and it did blow. Now I've got a 15 amp fuse in there. No problems since.

When you guys are talking about the 55 watt lamps is this for the headlights or the foglights? I would like to brighten up my fogs too and possibly eliminate the popups to save weight. The lights would only be used on the return road at night.

Take one of yours out of the car. Go to any parts store and tell them you want two 55 watt bulbs to match your 34 watt bulbs. They will look just like yours, only it will be 55 watts instead of 34 watts. All good parts stores have them.

These 55 watt bulbs are for the driving/fog lights in the front bumper. Swap the stock 34 watt bulbs in there now for 55 watt bulbs. Just change the fuse to 15 amp instead of the stock 10 amp. No extra heat on the lens and the stock wiring can handle the extra 5 amps for the fuse.

You just can't go wrong with HID.
