85 corvette wheel paint
Does anyone know what paint to use to paint the black part of the wheel to match the centers

This place has it all. I had some '03 Anniv wheels that needed some touchup a few years ago and they were able to mix up a can for me.

There are only a few blacks that GM used, I think you need is trim black which is semigloss paint.
The only other choices are totally flat and gloss black which won't look good at all.

I painted my AREs black with an off the counter spray paint.
I think it was called VHT Wheel Paint. Not 100% sure but I think it's a brand within Duplicolor. I've also used their High Temp paint on exhausts and other pars of cars and bikes.
Good enough for me. Came out nice and glossy too. But beware of plastics... you may need one or two coats more than covering any metals.

Just bought an 85, besides the body color being completeyl shot I noticed what looks like a clear coat coming off the alloy wheels. Anyone know of the best method for removing the old clear coat and what best to use to recoat the metal?
