Default C4 at upholstery shop

Looking for steering wheel and center, black, the guy who owned my C4 wore rings all the time and the steering wheel looks awful any suggestions other then replace? I have it at upholstery shop now as drivers side was pretty bad from him sliding in and out of it. The drivers side was what was bad but because of fade I went with new replacement covers for seats and carpet complete. Can't wait to see it finished. He took great care of mechanics and body but drivers seat and carpet was so worn out.

Replace. All the vendors either rewrap or sell reproductions or both.

How much are they charging you for the seat?

I have a Redline Goods leather cover that they made for me. It is black with blue stitching to match my interior. It feels wonderful. I was going to stitch it on myself but I had my local upholstery shop put it on for me instead. They also did a leather 2-tone e brake cover and shift boot for me. I had them do a center console cover too but the pattern I selected does not really look good (my fault). I am going to replace it with one from Mid America.
Redline can do anything and any color you can imagine and the work is first rate.

Default Interior

I had both seats redone and all carpet replaced labor $700. I found stock seat covers online $200, someone had purchased wrong style so got deal there and all carpet $399. I still need to find either a good steering wheel, or where could I get it re wrapped?

Chuck Pelton rewraps steering wheels. I have seen his display at Carlisle and the steering wheels he has done look as new.

Great deal on the interior. Good luck on the wheel!

No. I used a shop called L A Trim in Lowell, Michigan. The owner said he did it at home with the steering wheel in his lap while watching a football game on TV.
Chuck goes to a lot of the big Corvette shows where he sets up a booth. I have seen his work but not met him.
By the way - I get a lot of compliments on the work you did for me. Thank you!

Wow, that's one of the nicest jobs I've seen. Getting the cover on a later C4 is hard work.

Thank YOU Ron for having a chance to work together on my favourite Vette generation - yes, I love C4 :-)

As for L A Trim - can you please PM me the name of the guy you spoke to? I'd very much like to invite him to a cooperation and maybe make him our authorised installer :-)

Thank you in advance

regards

He actually told me it was too much work for what he charged and he never wants to do one again! Sorry.
I will stop by his shop and check with him again though. Who knows. I will send you a PM next week with his answer.
