new 4+3 reverse lockout rod available
Just thought I'd pass the news.
I'm suddenly having trouble getting through the gate from reverse. Figured it was the lockout rod but when I removed it the problem continued. Looks like I'm in for more rod alignment (hope that's all).
Anyway, to my surprise I found a new lockout rod from Petris Enterprises on the web. Looked like a brand new product announcement. I sent them a mail explaining that mine was 8.9" and asked if that indicated wear. They quickly replied that it was the same length as their product. I bought one anyway, hoping to avoid a mad rush for this rare doodad.
They also have a drain plug kit (with a drill bit) for the differential. I think I know just where it goes... I was trying to do the same thing before realizing I had no idea where I was going exactly with the drill. Guess they know. Maybe I'll get one of those too. Oil suckers work great on paper.
I figured the dying c4 aftermarket would get a shot in the arm with these things all over the place and cheap. Maybe it's happening?
