92 console lid repair
My 92 center console lid leather has separated from plastic inner part.
Anyone with experience fixing this short of replacement ($2-300)?
salute to all you Vets out there! Thanks!!!

When I got my current '88 the white leather had separated from the plastic on the hinge side.
For this sort of job I like black RTV:
- applied a thin layer of black RTV along the inside of the leather
- placed a weight onto the lid plastic
- pushed a 2x4 along side the leather to press the leather flat against the plastic
- placed a weight on the 2x4 to hold it pressed firmly against the lid plastic.
After 24hrs the leather was again firmly attached to the plastic with a flexible "adhesive"; cost was <$1...
